The Story Beneath the Surface

Hi! I’m Becca

Life speaks in beautiful ways. Here’s what I’ve learned.

I like to listen, to ask questions, to observe - to people, to energy, to the in-between.

Here’s to a listening ear & practical support.

Raised in a loving Colorado home, I’m grateful that the door was open and the soup always had room for more. I learned early, how to sit with both joy and sorrow.

My path has led through storytelling, grief work, yoga, education, and the wild adventures of marriage and motherhood.

Today, I hold space for teens, parents, and seekers of all kinds - helping them greet the moment, move through the mud, and remember who they are.

There’s a seat at the table. Please come as you are.

a lover of storytelling, a yogi, an adjunct professor

I know healthy homes isn’t the story for all, and in that I feel a calling to guide others to find support as we navigate life.

I grew up in a family that saw the ups, downs, and all-arounds of life. We loved deeply, offered genuine invitations, and learned how to “add more water to the soup.” I was taught the door was always open, and for that, I am grateful.

My Colorado childhood was full of animals, the outdoors, scraped knees, and endless 90s adventures. Through it all - sports, friendships, listening to stories from elders, and asking questions to friends and strangers alike (annnnndddd offering mostly unrequited, yet friendly hellos) - I learned to love humanity, and felt its love in return.

Grief, curiosity, connection, and resilience were my earliest teachers. I learned to sit with loss, to stay open, and to keep moving through the mud - not stuck, not avoiding, continuously learning. Usually with the help of others.

I earned a degree in History from the University of Colorado (Go Buffs!) because I loved human stories and didn’t quite know what I wanted to be when I grew up. That led to a year in Guatemala, where I reconnected with wonder and healed some deep wounds. Back in the States, I followed a call to support teens and families and eventually earned my Master’s in Counseling, with an additional focus in School Counseling.

Today, among many roles, I’m still a lover of storytelling, an engaged audience member, a yogi, an adjunct professor, a wifey, a mother of two, and a lifelong learning of what it means to be human. I spend most of my time holding space for big and small moments - playing in the mud, and moving through it.

There’s a seat at the table for you. Reach out. And let’s live this wild and well life together.
